This patent-pending UTG Universal Adaptor is exactly what you need. Turn your flat or rounded dovetail receiver into a convenient scope platform. The base is constructed of lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminum so it doesn't add weight to your gun, and is strong enough to withstand serious recoil. Having 14 slots gives you plenty of space to mount the optic of your choice and allows for exactly the eye relief you want. Why dovetail? They are permanent and don't need to be removed every time the gun is used. It also fits on a dovetail rail like other dovetail mounts. The dovetail mount is secure as it lays flat against the dovetail rail. You can still use it in dovetail style - on top of other dovetails. Recoil groove on Tikka T3 for example is located on top of the rifle's receiver in between mounting holes.
