About this deal

I read this in one sitting late at night with a very large cup of tea and I thought that was the perfect way. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others.

Rosie’s a bit heavier than she’d like to be, not as glamorous as she’d maybe like, slightly self-conscious about her body and is aware that the physical side of her marriage has dwindled a bit since her two girls were born. Rosie is a sad run-down wife whose dream is fish and chips sitting on a bench in a drizzly little town no one has heard of.After a troubled start in life Rosie now is very thankful for the perfect life she has with her two beautiful and comical little girls and her loving and supportive husband and they live in their lovely home by the sea, who could ask for more? I just couldn't believe how quickly and shockingly Rosie's life was turned upside down, and I wanted more than anything for something good to come her way. Eventually, she starts the process of moving on, but mind you it wasn't a conscious decision, more like she allowed the currents of life determine her destiny.

Her new series is the No Greater Courage series, tales of women facing the trials that life throws at them and having to dig deep to find the will and strength to succeed. And rarely do any of these appease my appetite for revenge/ retribution/ payback or even a good smother-his-nose-in-it grovel. In fact it's the only book I have given five stars to this year and we are already at the midway point. Having read the cover and the synopsis, I knew from the start that Rosie’s husband was going to leave her; it was just a matter of when it would happen. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.I didn't really get a sense of the tension and underlying strain on the relationship until everything came to blows.

I also thought Rosie's father was a really interesting and well-developed character, and I enjoyed figuring him out. My Husband's Wife is another excellent read from Amanda Prowse although in my opinion it didn't top Another Love which left me with such a book hangover and so emotionally drained after the powerful punch it packed. Amanda never shys away from tackling issues that other authors wouldn't have the conviction to even touch. Then there are the little lies that seem to creep in, just little ones, but they are lies all the same. I’m no stranger to getting caught up in a story, but I can honestly say it was the first time in many, many years that I fell asleep with a book (or rather, Kindle) slipping out of my hand. Her writing will make you laugh, cry, shout and scream and you will be left more often than not an emotional wreck but yet deeply satisfied that you have read such an outstanding book. Well the tagline on the front cover once gain proves interesting and I was keen to discover the answer to my question. From the majestic cliffs to the rocky footpaths, it all worked together to create the most gorgeous setting for Rosie's story to unravel within. A popular TV and radio personality, Amanda has appeared on numerous shows where her views on family and social issues strike a chord with viewers. This is an amazing book; I loved it from start to finish and could not put it down until the last page had been turned.
