At 26 litres in capacity it can carry most of what would be needed for a day out in the hills, but perversely isn’t quite as spacious as the on-paper smaller capacity Vaude Skomer 24. The Hikelite utilises components from their Airspeed™ system to offer premium comfort and support when wearing it. It's a 26-litre backpack for done-in-a-day adventures, whether hiking, hill walking or rambling at the weekend with friends and family.

Sustainably made, the Hikelite's main body fabrics are Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified and bluesign approved. Whether you're a casual or experienced hiker, the light and streamlined Hikelite 26-litre daypack combines essential features and quality construction with the impeccable ventilation that AirSpeed™ has to offer. This backpack is also hydration-compatible and has an internal reservoir sleeve with an Osprey Hydraclip and a hose port that runs through the backpanel. I felt the backpack held my walking poles well thanks to the two sets of straps, including the ones right at the top that also keep the large front pocket closed (and my water bottle in place). This lightweight, active pack provides space for all your daily essentials for the hill, trail and town.It’s also impossible to easily access any of the pockets or the main pack with the cover on, adding to the general amount of faffing in already wet conditions. Walking pole attachments, hydration bladder compatible, sternum strap with whistle, padded straps, detachable rain cover. This tensioned trampoline-type mesh has been used for a number of years by manufacturers such as Dueter and Gregory and in the case of the Hikelite it really keeps the pack a long way from your body, preventing much of the sweaty back experienced with closer-fitting packs. This will be either BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) or SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit), which are social auditing methologies and reports but are not an accreditation.
