Considering its size and weight, battery life is solid. In a few flights that averaged 20 minutes in length and covered just about 13,000 feet of distance, I landed with 20 percent battery remaining. In a flight with more constant movement, close to 19,000 feet of distance in 14 minutes, I landed with 37 percent battery remaining. Depending on the type of flying you're doing, you can expect about 20 to 25 minutes of flight time with the X5S. DJI states that flight times are longer with the X4S.

DJI Inspire Drones

The Inspire 2 creative workflow is now optimized and is capable of recording video in CinemaDNG and Apple ProRes along with other common formats for post production in film making. A dual battery system prolongs the flight time to a maximum of 27 minutes, while self-heating technology allows it to fly even in low temperatures. Measured in an unobstructed outdoor environment free of interference, with gimbal camera and lens attached to the aircraft and without other accessories. Video Transmission System

In terms of weight, the Inspire 3 tips the scales at 3,995g (including gimbal camera, two batteries, lens, PROSSD, and propellers) and has a maximum take-off weight of around 4,310g.

If the video transmission system signal is lost and Smart Return Home is enabled, it is able to fly home along its original route, and change to a straight line when it regains a signal.
